Who we are

The Rum Monkey Comedy Club (“we”, “us”) runs live comedy shows at the Battersea Barge (Tideway Dock, Nine Elms Lane, London SW11 8PZ) and at Jamon Jamon (3 Caxton Walk, London WC2H 8PW). This website is therummonkey.com. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@therummonkey.com.

What we collect and why

• Ticket purchases — handled by our ticketing partner TicketTailor. When you buy a ticket, your name, email address and payment details are processed by TicketTailor under their own privacy policy; we receive your name and email so we can manage the guest list and contact you about the show you booked.
• Newsletter — if you subscribe, we store your email address and first name to send you show news and offers. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Analytics & advertising — we use cookie-based analytics (such as Google Analytics/Ads) to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. These set cookies only where the law permits.

Legal bases

We process booking data to perform our contract with you; newsletter data with your consent; and analytics data under our legitimate interest in improving the site (or your consent where required).

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers who run the site and ticketing (hosting, TicketTailor, email delivery, analytics), and only as needed to provide those services.

Retention

Booking records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict our processing of it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@therummonkey.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Filming at shows

Some shows are filmed for promotional and broadcast purposes. Notices are displayed at the venue and announced at the show; tell our staff on the night if you would prefer not to appear on camera.
